This program also helped us gain an appreciation for the benefit of having people on the team with different strengths and approaches... the sum is definitely greater than its parts!  Thanks Excel.

How to Build Team Communication & Performance while supporting the fight to Conquer Cancer...

Chuck cropped bw nameMany of us have experienced the impact of Cancer in our families, or in our own lives. The rapid decline of political leader Jack Layton or Apple co-founder Steve Jobs brought a public face to this fight for some, but many families were already engaged in the trenches. At Excel Group we have lost several colleagues and friends, and none of us remain unaffected. Over the years, Excel has been blessed to have the opportunity to support many worthy causes. Recently, we decided that we wanted to do something with our Team Effectiveness work that would benefit the fight against Cancer.

In the United States, it is expected that there will be 1,596,670 new cancer diagnoses made this year. In Canada, men have a 45% lifetime probability of developing cancer, and for women it's 40%, or one in 2.5 chance. I know firsthand the care that a hospital such as Princess Margaret Hospital gives to those who are being tested for or have been diagnosed with Cancer. We remain thankful for the various organizations that are working to conquer this disease, and the many people who have supported them in some way by participating in available events.

Now we'd like your help in a practical way.

All of our associates in North America are passionate about helping our clients' teams succeed, as well as contributing to this cause - especially in this challenging economy. Every bit helps. That's why we have decided to create a special value package for our Communicating for Team Success team sessions,  and donate 12% of fees to cancer-related charities for the remainder of 2012. Join us and make a difference in your team effectiveness while helping to conquer cancer. See details on this page, download the benefits brochure (right), or click below to get in touch. Share/Forward to any colleagues, teams, boards or associates who may benefit.

Contact us now to help your team succeed, and help all of us conquer.

Over the years we have had the pleasure of serving many clients with variations of our Communicating for Team Success half-day program. Excel has worked with teams in various organizations, including the US Marine Corps, CAMH, Moen, Transamerica/Aegon, Cogeco, BDO, Yellow Media and Mediative as they attempt to reduce conflict and enhance effectiveness.

Below, you will find a few quotes from those who found the experience transformative, both for themselves and for their teams.

About Communicating for Team Success

Ann Layton, Siren Communications We found that the session offered us genuine insights about each other. For us, the most interesting part was learning that we are a varied group of people who are motivated by different factors... this session will help us form a solid base for team communication as we enter the exciting years ahead.

The four-colour behavioural model is practical and has also been a source of great team-building, and provides a good reinforcement for the long-term success of the program.

Excel Group has been instrumental in the success of organizations I've worked with, and it is truly refreshing to work with such a dedicated and passionate team.
